In the beginning…

My professional career journey began at the largest arts-based education non-profit in NYC: Urban Arts Partnership. As the Assistant Program Director, I helped launch an alumni scholar program that provided job placements and real world workshop for program graduates.

From there, I migrated over to the accessibility sector, becoming a project manager for a digital media agency that produced accessible media for people with disabilities. This became somewhat of passion role for me, seeing as I live with a hearing disability and my work had a direct impact on how others like me engaged with their favorite shows and movies.

The pandemic hit, my partner and I realized we needed to leave the only city we called home, and we made the move to Denver. For almost two years I struggled to land a full-time job.

So I pivoted to leveraging my education and passion for Creative Writing to become a freelance copywriter.

It worked out for me. In the past 3 years, I’ve published short stories, poems, and editorials.

What comes next? I’ve recently graduated from The Flatiron School with a certification in UX/UI Product Design. Combining my skills in project management, writing, and UX, I strive to break into the video game industry as a UX Writer.

The story continues!

My Work History

From project management to content production to non-profit arts based education, I’ve been through the most.

One thing that’s consistent in my career journey is I tend to work with brands and companies that make meaningful change in our communities. It’s not enough for me to simply work, but to make sure I spend my time on impactful matters.

And what matters to me now is to find a brand or company that lives on the intersection of my interests: writing and video games.
